more assembly required than the description would have you believe

very very nice - solid material, looks great. a few chips/scratches when I unpacked, but ok for the price.
however, based on the description which says "some assembly required" and the email I received from the shipping company, which stated the furniture would be delivered, and I would be asked to check it for issues before signing, I assumed it would come mostly in tact. This is not the case. A few hours of assembly with a drill and allen wrench was required (my hands were sore from awkward angles screwing in bolts)

All of this aside, I love it. Just wasn't prepared to roll up my sleeves and put it all together.
