BEAUTFUL AND SOLID
This clock is amazing. It is a rich cherry or mahogany NOT black. I worried about the photo and glad it came in different. The wood is ornate and solidly made. It doesn't look like any type of bargain store clock. I was lucky enough to get it extremely marked down, these go for around 3 k where I live like this, so this is a great deal. It comes in 3 pieces very well packed. The top and bottom are together but the middle must be assembled. It is battery operated (which I Love) so the internal pieces are light, and looks like brass when viewing. But it is a light brass colored metal. Again I love that for kids and grans who love the clock. Cheaper to fix and not broken glass. The three different chimes make them curious. lol I like the middle one. No worries about kids breaking the glass with the internal pieces.
