Nicer than expected
We wanted a small "fireplace" for our bedroom, and had trouble finding a smaller traditional fireplace unit. We started looking at the "wood burning stove" styles since they are smaller and liked the look of double-doors and no frilly details on this unit. I was a bit leery of the quality of this unit given the price (seeing as it is pretty inexpensive), but I am not at all disappointed. The plastic components (legs, doors, top) are realistic enough to believe it's metal at first glance and the "flames" are about as real-looking as I've seen in these kind of faux fireplace units. It seems to put off pretty good heat, though we bought it more for the look than as a heater. If you do plan to use it as a heater, the flames can be turned off with the heat still coming out, which is nice. Overall, this unit is much better than I expected given the price.
