Not the Typical Cheaply Made Accordion-Style Mirror
I've owned a couple of other pull-out mirrors of this style, & they were inexpensive, but cheaply made. The finish was poor (with a roughness that could cut my skin), had a mirror that was not in sharp focus, & had a cheap plastic frame around the mirror that turned yellow with age.
Not this mirror! The Gatco is well-made (of solid brass) & heavy-duty. The mirror is sharp & clear on both sides. The accordion section pulls out smoothly, partly due to nylon glider sleeves around the metal. The polished chrome finish is well-done & smooth. There are no rough parts to the finish & it has a high polish. The anchors provided are heavier duty than I received with cheaper versions of this style of magnifying mirror.
