Looks good from a distance, doesn't work

Been searching for an oversized clock for our living room, we have tall ceilings so I want something to fill some space. This looks good in the space, although up close the paint job on the numbers is pretty poor. I would keep it anyway except that it doesn't work. The minute hand goes around but the hour hand is too loose and just hangs down at the 6. For a hundred bucks I would expect at least a little better quality...but I guess I need to keep searching.
